You didn't specify a nationality.

Flt Lt Goodman is the first to receive a Commonwealth DFC and as it was instituted in 1918 that makes it senior to the 1926 US version granted to Amelia Earhart.

Amelia Earhart was the first US female to receive the DFC. It stirred up quite a bit of FLAK, as it was to someone who had no connection to the military, nor was she on any military mission.

There so many what happen theory's that it's just no way to tell what happen to her. Did she get capture? did she drown? or did she live and later died? so many

There are many theories as to her demise. Why is it so hard to believe that a great American hero just plain made a mistake? I think her navigator/she just made a mistake, ran out of fuel, and ditched.

She was one of our greatest hero's. Plus her plane was check so many times and she had enough fuel to make it. Me I think she drifted off to sleep and crashed in to the ocean. Her last radio reports she mention how tired she was of flying. There is no one in the world who can go a week with out sleeping. To bad they didn't invent auto pilot sooner.
