I'm considering taking the Reserve Option in ROTC so I can guarantee my branch and have been leaning in the direction of Signal. The information provided me, unfortunately, was slim to none. Anyone feel like explaining the roll of a Reserve Officer and what I might be doing as I drill with a unit while still in ROTC? Once I'm commissioned?
As a Cadet in a Signal unit, from my experience anyway. Is that you will shadow a 2LT or 1LT learning what the job of a Signal Platoon Leader entails. You'll see that you will be responsible for the planning of the network: computer, radio and phone. Also you will be planning other types of training.
