stop double posting put both questions into one thread,
national guard is NATIONAL covered by the state dude pretty obvious with the name secondly no one can know what the situation with stationing is if you join the ca ng then you will be stationed somewhere in the CA area wherever they have a slot open for a 25bravo now anyone with more experience correct me if im wrong im not in the military yet just going by word of mouth |

National Guard Active Duty?
What? If you join the California NG then you will know your unit before you ship to BCT. If you go Active Duty you will more than likely not know where your first duty station is until you near the end of your AIT. |

I have a clue....IRAQ. and my next guess is once you get there you will be a gate guard/convoy security. damn networks are all ran by civilian contractors. Last time I was over there I had full control/management of our unit's it systems, this time, about all I can do is check the cat5 cables. |

That's big Army for you. The only place where a soldier can have a little bit of control of the network is in special operations. However, the big Army mentality is creeping in and civilian contractors are getting more control. It sucks. |
