Operates and performs unit and higher levels of maintenance on television receivers/monitors and cameras; studio accessories consisting of computer controlled video switchers and audio mixers/consoles, synchronous generators, distribution equipment, and amplifying equipment; motion/still photo imaging equipment; closed circuit systems; visual imagery satellite, microwave, RF transmission and cable distribution systems associated with VI operations; operates and maintains VI equipment in a Video Teleconferencing facility; operates and performs PMCS on assigned vehicles and power generators.

So what you'll end up doing most of the time is pulling details. If you do any thing in your MOs is will consist of plugging in cables and replacing bad equipment. Contractors or DS maintenance will repair your gear.

Is that clear and concise enough for you ? Its is a non-existant job. You are a body that will be farmed out to someone who needs: floor sweepers, convoy security, gate guard, KP, CQ, motor pool clean up, driver, etc.

Does that sound glamerous ?

starting a new deployment and plenty of qualified 25(whatevers) are pulling gate guard, tower watch, convoy security. some of the 25f's done it to themselves, they had over a year to reclass.

networkpro, thanks for being a flaming dousche
get laid or something lol I really didnt see any need for a stupid smart reply maybe if I KNEW what they did I would not ask. Out of all the replies you and you alone had the urge to be the dick lol I bet your a meat head looking like your heads about to pop, But anyways im just recently enlisted trying to figure out what my mos will be doing since I was told its basicly a camera guy / camera maintainer so why would I ASSUME that I would be pulling guard or sweeping or whatever else......? I wouldnt thats why I asked on the signal corps forum for fellow signal corps to answer I can text online and be hard to lol thanks anyway guy...

you'll go to dinfos (defense info school) at ft. meade MD. you'll probably be in holding for awhile as there are only 8 slots per class and only aprox. one class starting per month. from what the romeos have told me the classes are rather hard depending on your prior exp. w/ computers and such. Ait will suck for your first 4-8 weeks b/c you'll be a phase 4 and can't go anywhere off post or out of uniform.

make sure you stay in shape b/c passing a pt test is the only way you will phase up!

other than that it's really easy here. i've been here since 01 dec 07 and have no complaints yet ( except that i was on holding for 3 months waiting for my mos class to start)

any other ?'s i can try to beat the answers out of the romeos...

Big Grin keep it real!!!!!
