Basic Training |
Just here to say "Hello" to all the Signal Corps folks. I recently enlisted as a Future Soldier set to be a Radio Operator. To be honest I wanted to be a Cav Scout or something else combat but color blindness has screwed me and Radio Operator seemed to be the closest to combat from my list of options.
I go to Basic Sep 10 at Ft. Benning than to Ft. Gordon Nov 24. Since I was denied any combat MOS I'd appreciate any advice or knowledge of possibly getting into a combat unit or increasing my chances. I wished to go Airborne but the option was not available when I was at MEPS. Really any advice at all on being in Signal would be greatly appreciated. Even though I wanted to go combat I do plan on working my *** off as a Radio Operator. Thanks in advance. -Chase |

Hey - who do you think the homer is behind the PltLdr on dismounted patrols? The guy with the radio. Don't worry - you'll get a workout.
Good luck and welcome. |
