I am going ARNG to Active Duty, but don't have my MOS yet, so I have to hope there is a training opening. Does anyone know if there are any openings for 25B at all? I would love to keep this MOS.

If you are not MOSQ (Military Operating Specialty Qualified) you have the same chance of anyone else showing up at the career counciler's desk at the same time with qualifying scores. Availability for MOS slots changes on a daily baisis. Good Luck!

If your serious about the MOS, simply don't take no for an answer. Those guys can look alot further then the usual 30-90 days for class dates, just they want to get you booked / signed ASAP. Just keep bugging the career counselor that you want 25B and only 25B and eventually you'll get it.

If you say "I'm not joining unless I get 25B," they will get you 25B. Its not THAT hard of an MOS to get (my boss tried to get Army Astronaut... LOL)

I said that to my recruiter after 25B showed up as "not available." One phone call, five miutes later, 25B was suddenly available.

I used to be a 25B, and as I find myself back at Gordon for the 25A course, there are tons of Bs running around here. It is a highly sought after MOS and they are pushing to get Bs fielded. I more or less told my recruiter when I was enlisting that it was 25B or nothing, low and behold, I got it.
