My DH is hoping to get sent to DDE to complete phase 2 of his M6training. This is his ASI and he will need to be there 44 weeks. (basically, it is an LPN course.) I have been reading a lot of complaints about overcrowding and such here on the signals board. Can anyone tell me where they house the medical soldiers? We were told that they had dorm type rooms, is this accurate or are they in barracks as well? Are the issues described here Signal Corps specific or base wide? Any insight is appreciated.
Medical trainees are housed in a completely different area from signal and ordnance. The housing is like a dorm set up and they are located right next to the hospital. Medical is treated completely different from signal. Different meaning better. I've been at Fort Gordon for 10 months on a medical hold status so if you have any more questions about the post feel free to ask.
Medical hold status for what program? That is a very long wait! Thank you very much for the information. I live in Atlanta, so we are hoping for Augusta so he can come home on weekends.
