So I took a practice ASVAB. I did very well on the paragraph compression and word knowledge. However I did horrible on both math sections. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any free sites to where I can learn some algebra so as to do well on the ASVAB. I really want this so bad that I don't want that to hold me back at all.
Dude. My asvab went exactly the same as yours. good on PC and WK but horrible on math. I got 75 on practice and 69 on real. without studying at all. So youll do ok. plenty of good jobs. sorry i cant be of more help on the website's, i don't know of any.
I don't know if this is true, but I remember my recruiter telling me that if you get the practice question wrong on the ASVAB then you will get the easier version of the test. I bet it's BS but who knows?
Originally posted by Samsyn: it is bs, cause if you get it wrong it says "wrong. the correct awnser is C. please select C" .. i tried it to see what would happen lol
and I dont mean theres a curve, i mean that your score is going to be much higher than the % you actually get right
I never took the computerized version.
Your "score" that you are talking about is a percentile...it means how well you did compared with others who took the test. For example, if you "score" a 95%, that means you scored better than 95% of the people who took it. The 95% does *not* mean you got 95% of the questions right.
Alli is right in how the score is a percentile, vs a percentage.
From what I have been told, if you answer the first question of the computerize test, it will make the test easier. However, I still haven't seen how that makes any difference in scores. I'm not sure i believe that to begin with, but i have been told that.
I have been told that on the computerized version that if you get the question right the next one is harder. However if you get it wrong it gets easier.
