Figured I'd try to help out with some questions around here while I'm bored at work.

Graduated BMT in june and got home in sept so it's all still fresh. Ask away.

i am leaving really soon for bmt im so nerves. what were your thougths about it when you first left?Is their anything i should know before i leave?

I tried not to really think about it at all. I knew it was going to suck, I just went with the flow. Zero week was a haze, and by far the most misirable of the experience. You walk around in your civvies with a canteen/web belt and your one giant target.

Just try not to take it personal, their job is to break you down, and they do a great job at it. It's only 8 and a half weeks, so don't sweat it. It flies by and it'll be over before you know it. Ask lots of questions to the ECs who babysit you for the first week, their your greatest resource and your last chance to get a heads up on anything going on.

You wont have to do PT until the start of the first week. That Tuesday(I think) is your inital PT eval. Timed pushups/situps and a mile and a half run. Expect to get put on your face as soon as you get back from that eval, and then the fun really begins if your flight sucks.

Okay, I have a question, when did you get to make your first phone call? (Excluding the very first one, where they sound scared out of their minds giving their addresses).
My husband has been in for 3 weeks and so far I have just recieved a letter from him, but no phone call, (of course besides that first one that lasted 2 min.) I have recieved emails from our church leaders there that have included photos. My poor husband looks super skinny!
Anyway, in his letter he says his flight is pretty slow, which I assume to mean they suck. (And from your answer to the previous question, it seems you had a pretty sucky flight too.) Thanks for answering our questions!

I was just going to caution you. Your profile had said active duty - which I see you have changed.

if you dont mind me asking what made you join the usaf? when you left was that the hardest thing for you?
