Hey guys my husband left for basic on the 13, so is he done with zero week and week one and is starting week 2 today. I just got some info about his graduation and stuff but I still have not gotten my spouse packet that has all the stuff I need to go and get my military ID made. Anyone have any ideas when I will get it or can I call someone about it. I also haven't heard from my husband yet.

I don' think you can get it till after hes graduated BMT, and he will have to be there when you get it as you will have to be put into deers etc you can't do it on your own, not even us spouses who have ids and AD spouses can do it by ourselves without a POA.

and he will call you when they are behaving and get phone privilgies

I have heard from his recruiter that they send you a DD1172 from to take to a base and that plus 2 forms of IDs will let you get the ID I just don't know when I will get it.

Well i called DEERS and Im not enrolled in it. When do they do this in basic becasue I thought they did this in zero week and the hubby in in week 2

again i dont think you can do this till AFTER he graduates basic... could be completely wrong but hes still a trainee not an airmen yet so i don't see it happening till hes finished that up minimum.

She is correct, she will get a package and be able to get her ID before he finishes basic.

thanks dekeoboe any idea when he would have done this or how long it takes the people at lackland to get it in the system

sorry, I don't know the answer to that, I would just keep checking with DEERS.

I went to get my prescriptions filled yesterday and I was in the system for tri care, does that mean I should get the packet soon? I am hoping that I will get the info soon so I can head to the air force base and get my military ID.

Oh, and my hubby left the 13th as well.

You should get it soon I this it is like a week or so after you get in the system. My hubby didn't have the right marriage license so I had to send him another one. So I hope I get all my stuff soon. And Meichj86 what training squad is your hubby in and have you gotten any letters or calls? I got a call today but missed it because of work

I have only recieved one letter and no phone calls. His flight must really suck it up! He says that his flight is SLOW in the mornings, so I may never get a call
He is in 324 TRS / FLT 035

im sure you will get a call at some point just tell him he needs to help the slow people get better, because it is all about them team in basic. I just can't wait till Dec so I can my hubby and I am sure you can't wait to see yours.

When did your hubby enter? and what flight and squad is he in? I really think his flight must be the worst! Have you heard from your hubby?

he left the 13 of Oct and is in the 320 TRS flight 031. I got one short letter because he needed to get me to send a new marriage license and I got a call yesterday but I was at work so i missed it. but I have next sunday off so I hope he calls again then.

Got a letter today and my husband said during his first week he had entry controller duty and got a 341 pulled but he said that it was bad but not to bad.

Oh no! That doesn't sound good! LOL. I got a picture of my husband from our church leaders there. My husband looks so skinny. I worry about him so much. I recieved the spouses packet today. I will be heading to our local AFB to get everything squared away. I am excited that I finally got that.
