Basic training is worth 4 physical education credits. Tech school is worth a varying number of credits depending on your AFSC. 2T2's get 10 credits for tech school and it's only 28 days long, I think that's a pretty good deal.
You receive credits from BMT and techschool and beyond techschool that go toward your CCAF. (Community College of the Air Force) You get more credits from a longer techschool. You get more credits when you pass your cdc's You get more credits when you become SSGT. etc etc.
1. A CCAF degree is an Associates Degree specifically an Associates in Applied Science for what the career field you are in. If you do only four years in the AF you could put it on your resume if you try to get a civilian job in the same field, pretty much shows any future employer that you have experience in that field. You could also use those credits/degree and apply them to a Bachelor's degree. Depending on the school you decide to go to, some schools will not accept all your credits if they don't have a comparable course at their school, some will. Or you could put it up on the wall in a nice frame and not use it at all.
2. You'll receive credit for a CCAF degree pretty much by progressing in your job, there will be some courses that you may have to take at a local college or by taking a CLEP/Dantes exam and receive credit for (mathematics/humanities/speech).

unless your going to the Air War college or Air force institute of technology your best bet is to just enroll in local community college or university and than send your transcripts to CCAF

If you go to ALS, you earn your Management credits. You should try to CLEP/DANTES as many classes as possible before taking community college classes. The tests are free to AD - not sure about Reserve.
