My husband just put his jobs down at basic. He put 2 intel jobs down as his top 2 but also put down like 5 medical jobs. What are the chances of him getting his top choices or what goes into getting them. I know he got a 83 for his over all ASVAB and I think general was his highest score over them all. He also has a 2 year degree in computer science.

no not yet but thats because they didn't have the right marriage license so now he has to go back down there to fill it all out again. And he doesn't know when that will be since it is up to his TI when he goes.

Obviously.

Otherwise, he would have had a guaranteed job and not had to list any, right?

well yes obvioulsy but the fact he has a list down would make one think that maybe someone has their wires a tad crossed, because if he went open hes getting put somewhere not deciding

Yes he went to basic as open but during the 2 week i think they gave him a list of jobs that will have a tech school around the time he graduates and he had to pick like 7 or 8 jobs

his job will go off of the needs of the air force. I'm going in under the general mech field and I'll have to go through the same thing your husband is. It sucks not knowing your job and where you could be stationed. I wanted a medical job also but my recruiter was honest and told me i could put down as many med jobs and still not get one, so keep options open. I think Intel would needed more than med in the AF
