RE:I'm in a State Defense Force. We usually communicate by FRS, Ham Radio, or Cell Phone. Recently while on an FTX with Cadets from a local College ROTC program I was forced to try to communicate using a SINCGARS unit. I have decided that the SINCGARS is the most useless piece of garbage I've ever encountered. It discusts me to think that our Service Men and Women are putting their lives at risk using this peice of crap to communicate. SINCGARS is not the top of the line radio system in the military and there are better alternatives that we use but it's reliable and rugged.
