I just took an AD position in Milwaukee because of there being six more open positions than bodies to fill them.

E-mail me in the Global (I'm the only S/A Griner) and I'll fill you in.

It's either or, not both. You cannot be a civilan CGIS agent and a Reserve CGIS at the same time.

Larry P, who had been an IVC, took a civilian agent position on the west coast.

He put in for a lateral to ISC, and when the dust settled, he was an ISCS. No test, nothing. Lucky him.

Many IVs were former PSs, and with that rating going away, some may consider ME. Time will tell.

That's a good question.

Not that I know of, though the -1811 position is just a TAD more lucrative of a deal (GS-13 with LEAP versus IV3 or IV2 if you are lucky).

Good luck!

In a word, Yes. Almost all the 1811s are either being reprogrammed as GS-13 or announced as 12/13s to keep up with most other agencies.

A civilian CGIS position in New York has been posted on USAJOBS.

There are two more civilian positions to be posted within the next week or two. I'll keep everyone posted...

wow... That's a lot of positions for a highly sought after agency.

I've pitched in for a slot...gonna apply for a few more. Hoping my civilian and Coast Guard career (both in line for what they are looking for) helps. But...I'm not holding my breath either! Smile

Too bad there haven't been any AD enlisted positions opened up in the east coast for the last year and a half, oh wait, there have been. Thank you CGPC, may we have another.

Well, 21 total civilian jobs posted since the beginning of November.

I don't know of any more for a while, but if I hear any any more, I'll post them here.

Good luck to any one who has applied!

Word is there are another group of jobs coming down the pike.

It wasn't indicated if they were military or civilian positions as of yet, but it was substantially more than I thought would come up after the mass hiring of civilian agents.

Standby by for incoming (job announcements)...
