Nice photos. I think I saw that Zaghytun Chay area on a map before those guys went out, it looks pretty crazy from the air. Not nearly as insane as Afghanistan, though, glad I only got Iraq duty. Like the people better anyway.

I sure appreciated the slides. Several 10th veterans came home from the war and founded ski resorts, such as Vail in 1962. Former Sen Bob Dole was in the 10th and he was severely wounded leading a platoon up a hill in Italy in 1945. Unlike the Finns in the 1939 war against Russian invaders, the 10th did not engage the Germans on skiis as far as I know.

Excellent slideshow. Number 16 sure brought back some memories. It's the HLZ at FOB Naray (Now FOB Bostick) in Kunar Province. I spent 15 months there with the 173rd ABCT from MAY 07-AUG 08. We relieved the 10th MTN DIV who also did 15 months there. The FOB is now named after B Troop 1-91 CAV's COmmander, MAJ Tom Bostick. He was killed by RPG fire further North of the FOB at a place called Saret Kholeh along the Landay Sin River on 27 July 2007. He was a great guy and excellent leader. Again, to whomever is responsible for this slideshow, you did a great job. Thanks.
