Receantly my File got transfered from Los Angeles to Huntington, WV. Today I got a letter and I quote "We received your request to withdraw your claim for compensation benefits" This came as a big suprise since I was counting down till completion I am currently over 400 days pending and my estimate completion date is 5/2013. I never requested to witdraw the claim.
So this is what I have done please Add if you can think of anything else. I faxed letter and my own statement and faxed it to the number on the letter and the regional office. On Monday I will go see my VSO and Regional office and I schduled a call back for Monday.

Went to my VSO today except she no longer works at the hospital, and they were unable to get me into see a different VSO. Talked to the VA on the phone they stated the claim had already been closed but admitted they did not know why nor did they have any document saying to close it.
They sent in a notification to re-open, they stated it would still be back dated to the first day I sent it in. However I am wondering do I have to start back at the bottom of the pile. This is already 400 and some days old em I starting back at day 1 ?/
Similar thing happened to me (San Diego RO). I had made my original claim in Oct 2010. I was in the habit of calling my VSO quarterly to check in/check my claim status. When I called in Nov 2011, my VSO told me my file was closed the week prior by VA. My VSO also checked with VA who said per my request, it was closed. They had no documentation I had requested it closed then told my VSO it was some sort of input error. VA reopened my claim with the original claim date of Oct 2010. However, later when I checked eBenefits, the claim date had changed from the original date of Oct 2010 to Nov 2011. In May of 2012 (7 mos after VA had erroneously cancelled my claim) VA settled part of my claim and deferred on three issues. They have since completed my entire claim. Bottom line is I was given back pay to my original claim date of Oct 2010. Since you are going through a VSO you should be in great shape. The experience with my VSO reflects they do an outstanding job.
Well just checked E benefits and the case was reopened after they closed it for no reason. The case had been pending for 400 + days and had a completion estimation of less then 2 months. Now it states the completion date from over a year from now, which means it got moved to the bottom of the pile based on an error by the VA is there anything I can do or em I doomed to a 800+ day wait period for this ??????? Makes my head spin to think about it

Call your Congress Members district office and ask for the Veterans Liaison. They will get your information that they need.
In turn they will call or write the VA House Liaison. That person will then using internal procedures research your case and get back to the Congressional Staff member.
They should be able to have your file expedited and should have an answer in a few days.
Thank you for that advice, I will start this process tomorrow
If older claims are being "withdrawn" with no documentation and then they "fix" it as soon as you raise the issue, sounds like really a game of manipulating the backlogs.
So I never got aroud to calling my Veteran Liason, tried to see my VSO 3 times and havent been ablt to get in. First is it to late to do this ?
Also got a "5103 Waiver Review 07/01/2013 08/05/2013" In mail form and on Ebenefits
Also this showed up on Ebenfits under Contentions: VBMS (New)
Any insight into new developement
I should clarifiy I know that VBMS is the new digital submissions system they are rolling out but why would it be in my contentions section with my medical conditions ?
Not sure what to do about the waiver review or what exactly it is ?
