Ron Paul is for a strong national defense. He served in the Air Force as a flight surgeon in the 1960's.

He advocates the return to a non-interventionist foreign policy, as advised by our founders. He is opposed to using our military to nation-build and police the world. He is opposed to the enormous debts that our foreign policy lays on younger generations. He believes in Constitutionally-limited government and has established his reputation as such in Congress. Lobbyists don't even bother going to his office.

In his 10 terms in Congress, he has been an advocate for war veterans to receive all that they are due for their service.

Pro-military doesn't necessarily mean "pro-every-war-that-any-given-administration-gets-us-into".

If you haven't yet heard Dr. Paul's message, please check him out.

Amen to that. Keep spreading the word. The far left and far right fear him. But the funny thing is, is that the ACLU and Jphn Birch Society endorse him.

I had the honor of meeting him during his campaign birthday party in TX a few weeks ago.

Website does not say anything about veterans. Confused

I read the thing about mistreating veterans but after Walter Reed it kinda seems like a band wagon thing to wave around for a politician. (No disrespect to military men and women there)

Still, he has potential in my book.

Fred Thompson-Not for the Environment
Gulliani-Possible corruption w/ mob ties
McCain-I heard he has voted against vets 90% of the time (yes I am still researching this, don't take my head off yet)

Not real sure who is left on the Republican side for me.

I agree with most of your views on Ron Paul.

He should talk about Amendment Ten and Madison, Jefferson quotes on the general welfare. Only the general welfare enumerate in the Constitution for the federal government. The rest is for the States to decide. Government Huckabee said he supports the Tenth Amendment.

Ron has a good idea of bringing most of our troops home from around the world. I would like them replaced with about 5 more aircraft carriers and 5 more nuclear submarines added to current fleet on duty at a minimum.
