Looking to discuss want military members think about "Pro Military" Republicans and "Peace Loving" Democrats. I want to believe that we can't be bought off with a 3.2 percent pay raise and promise to bring freedom to the world via military invasion. Any thoughts?

Applause Thanks for your service, Tech Sergeant! I think by now the public is able to see through the fraud that is this administration. At no time since the Civil War have our servicepeople been so abused for political gain by the party in power. I thought a 10% raise would actually be felt, especially by the enlisted families. When I read about this 3.2% figure during a period of manpower shortages in an unpopular war, It seemed the troops should have felt insulted. This group gives all kinds of pep talks and pretends to support our people, but they seem to make themselves absent when needed to give something back. One has to look no further than the shortcomings in follow up care for our severely wounded; brain damaged in particular. I can only hope we are not fooled again into a new adventure. Well said George, I am retired Military and I think the Military should get a better pay scale for what they are doing, to me all the people in the white house much rather put the money in there pockets and forget about the Military...(Time in the Military may 1958- 1982)

You are right, Sarge. These jokers are using the war to get elected and get reelected. It has happened before, but never on this scale. I think the Manchurian candidate was already elected. What comes next?

Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his A-4. 'Wet-starts', done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft. In McCain's case, the 'wet-start' 'cooked off' and launched the M34 Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that punctured the Skyhawk's fueltank, knocked the M-65 1000 lb bomb off it's 500 lb rated mount, and touched off the explosions and massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration, along with 167 of his fellow Forrestal shipmates (including those who died later from wounds suffered). 'Wet starting' was a common practice among young 'hot-dog' pilots. McCain was quickly (they were still counting the Forrestal dead) transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred).

Go ahead and vote for Obama and you will wish that you had voted for McCain. Obama will reduce the military like Clinton did. Besides that you will come under the command of the United Nations. Think about it.

I agree. This is an attempt to get another slanderous internet legend going to affect the campaign, similar to those that can usually be attributed to Republicans. I'm not a fan of McCain, but honesty demands that this b u l l s h i t be countered.
