Roots

If I keep my Roots right in the Earth
I'll know my birth from where I came
And how I grow up to the sky
Branching out to touch life
and what I am is where I came
To take myself from where I've been
To place myself above all things
Is to lose myself and all that is
I must grow from where I came
And go through life knowing what I am
And how I grow be it tall or short
Or reach heights I can not climb
Is not a measure of what I am
But keep my Roots from which I came
My strength will be that which I made
My weakness not to see myself
For which my Roots have sown themselves.

The Great Man Embraces The Dove
Even Through The Storm
The Great Man will Take The Desert
And Find a Path Through
The Great Man
will See Himself Not as a Leader
But Through Wisdom He Can Follow Truth

A Melting Pot

To the United Nations and Peace around the table

I will Help it Serve the Best it has I will hold it all together
And take from the Melting Pot
I will stir and mix and add to flavor
I will turn it so I will know what is there
I will take the spices that is in the Pot
The Flavor has the Best of the World
No salt to add to change the brew, No vinegar to ruin the Pot
The spices are colorful in themselves, They add uniquely to this World
Serving all will serve each one, Mixing in will help the Pot
Holding all will keep it from spilling
Bringing God, Love and Caring, Will help to serve all Hearts
Adding all will Help the Melting Pot
Just serve the World and know your neighbor
Bring Peace to the table, And all will share in giving favor
All the World is Mankind's Table
One Melting Pot to serve us all
No sense spilling it over
Who's going to clean it up? No one's at the table.

Human Kindness Starts with You
Say A Prayer To Give Peace A Start
And You Will Finish With A Friend

Just a SOLDIER;
Who Served The Cause
Those Who Died; are HEROS Lost
They Fought For FREEDOM;
And Paid The Cost
Those Who Suffered; Wounds in WAR;
Took The BRUNT; For Us All
Those INFLICTED; by The Pain
Felt Each Care DYING; Slowly
Those Who Prayed For The End
Are all The HEARTS;
Who want PEACE Again
Those Who DIED;
REMEMBER Their Loss
They PAID The Price
For FREEDOM’S WAR;

DEATH IS THE PLAY

One Shot to End One Hope to Live

You Cannot Rehearse for War Today
For Death will be the Play
What would the Critics say?
I Cannot give my Best Reviews
It's Hell Having to View this Play
The Stage was Set for Mankind's Death
He Played His Part to the End
Who was Left to give Applause?
Death was the Only one at all
No Tickets Bought no Refunds Returned
No Play Could Cost More Than War
No Time to Lose Before it Starts
The Curtain Rises Before us all
Where will we be When the Curtain Falls?
Play no Part where War is Fought
For Death is not Won but Lost.
"Mankind" can Revise what He has written
When Heart is used before the Sword
Wait no Longer Than a Day
For Life is only Here Today
