That would be a great thread to start in the writers forum here from our main menu area. Go back one step to the Military Ent & Social Forums menu and you'll find the Writer's Forum (3rd one from the bottom). I would have quite a few to contribute to that one...

Great idea. Start it up, you know, maybe "Dreams, what are yours?" or something like that?

I find dreams very interesting, maybe you will too. Here's a place to see.

This one I remember from when I was 10, over 50 years ago. Seems like yesterday.

I was either in a completely dark room or I had my eyes closed. Either way, I couldn't see a thing. I felt that I was in a small comfy "place" and was content to just lie there, still. Except I couldn't ignore the repeated sounds of impacts coming from I knew not what. With nothing else to do, I focused on the slow, rythmic pounding and, like a flash, in my mind's eye, I envisioned an undertaker hammering nails into the lid of my coffin.

I snapped awake to fimd myself lying with one ear flat on the mattress and saw that the roof was leaking. The water drops were hitting the matteress a foot from my eyes with the same cadence as the dreamed undertaker's hammer striking the nails and the sound in my ear was as loud as hammer blows.

I always wondered why I, just a kid, would have such an adult-neurosis-sounding-theme dream
