during my time in the Navy I served with the folowing countries navy's: United Kingdom, France, Itally, Spain, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Philipines, Austraila, New zealand, and last, but not least,Canada. By far my favorite were the Brits...those guys were a ton of fun! My least favorite were the Korean's and French. So who are your favorites?

Toss up between the Canadians and Aussies. They both know how to have tons of fun but I think the Aussies may have a slight edge.
USS Liberty, Never Forget. I believe in Murrays Law, he thought Murphy was an optimist. |

Well, I never served with any but I'd have to say my favorite is the Mexican Navy..for not scrapping BAM Cuitlahuac, formerly the USS John Rodgers (DD-574), the last of the "round-bridge" Fletchers. Now she's coming home to be restored and displayed at Mobile.

My second and best cuise was with SNFL and we sailed with Canadian, British, German, Spanish, Dutch, French, and so forth.
Best ship/ Navy hands down was the Canadians. In fact I spent so much time over there I knew the layout of their ship and how to get to their bar from topside. I also have fond memories of the Germans and Dutch, but the Canucks will always stand out. |
