I saw this online a couple years ago. The Navy is archiving these from pretty every ship out there and putting them online. The Executive Officer writes a "year in review" which becomes part of the ship's archive.

22 years in the Navy I never ever heard of any such thing!

I found it through an old link of mine to my ships "Command History" but can't find or back up to a link for the rest of the fleet. It's pretty cool though.
