Hi everyone-
Im currently deployed and I'm already looking for jobs for the next school year. I am a certified teacher in PR and am currently in my first year of teaching. Im speaking spanish and understand the english but I'm not sure how good of a chance I have to get a teaching job on base. What I was wondering is if anyone knows if the local districts around the area have something in their contract that would let me leave my teaching job . Thank you for any help!

For teaching on base it will depend on what area you will be going to. Most schools on base are run by the district school board or county. There is some DOD schools on the lower 48 states but most are Overseas in Asia & Europe.

I don't know of any areas that will guarantee that you can have a job unless you are hired before you get there. You may look into substitute teaching as an option when you first arrive at the area.
