Hi Smile!
My husband is leaving for basic training for the Airforce in May and as a future military wife I have many questions which I’m sure many of you had at the beginning, I am staring my career in Human Resources, I was hoping somebody would tell me what the opportunities in this field are for a military wife?

I worked as a human resources assistant at one of our previous bases. I met several military spouses in the office that had been able to advance in the human resources field as they moved from base to base and were quite satisfied with their career options. If you are interested in government opportunities in HR, you can look at a number of websites--USAJobs is excellent. Once you know where you will be stationed, be sure to get a phone number for civilian personnel, and the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Your husband's sponsor should be able to provide you with that information. The Family Readiness Center can also connect you with employment resources and job opportunities in the community where you will be living. Good luck to you!
