Hey everyone, just wanted to share some info with you.
The base that I live near has an Employment Readiness Program for spouses that is sponsored by the Army Community Services. I took the orientation class last week, then signed up for 5 more different classes. And.....it's all free!
In the orientation, you bring 3 resumes with you, they put you in their job data base (for civilian employment) and you get a lot of information about job search websites, sample letters, upcoming job fairs, etc.
The other classes that I signed up for are Federal Resume Preparation, How To Work a Job Fair, Networking Strategies, etc.
Just wanted to share this info in case anyone else wanted to see if the base near them has such programs. Every bit helps in getting a job with today's market, right?!
