Hey y'all

I am training to become an EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician) in Boston. DH is deployed right now. By the time I am certified, I will be a lower level health care provider. We will be livin g in Germany... My question to you guys is... do you think it is possible for me to get some kind of job at the Post clinic as some kind of Medical Assistant?

I know how to take SAMPLE histories, Blood Pressure, CPR... I also have experience in Reception/Clerical fields.

DH said it would pretty much be impossible to get an EMT job in Germany.

This may be a totally random thing to ask...but I am just curious as to what everyone thinks.Do you think I should make an attempt to get in contact with my FRG? Can they help with job stuff?

depends on the SOFA and how it is written.

I know in Japan, only Host National civilians worked in the hospital as Nurses etc, and most of the receptionist positions as well. the only spouses and other dependents were mostly volunteers, not paid employees.

all the FRG could do is maybe give you some leads, or tell you from local experience what the truth is.
