interested in the Nursing field, University of the District of Columbia(UDC) is offering FREE tuition, FREE books, a $250 monthly stipend, and guaranteed job placement as a nurse at Providence Hospital upon graduation(it's a 3 year program) with a starting salary
of $40,000.

I apologize to anyone who has been requesting this information over the last few weeks. There is a major glitch and for some odd reason half of you I cannot email you the information through your profiles.

to that end, I am editing the first post to include more information as well as including my mil.com email. hello, i know its almost a year since this was posted but i'm currently in nursing school and in desperate need for financial help paying for school. does anyone have advice for me? i'm in texas...Ft. Sam

The last time I checked (which was probably 10 years ago), Texas has some state programs specifically for nurses and teachers. Check with your financial aid office. They should know about these programs. This assumes that you were a Texas resident prior to starting school.
