I don't understand how this $3,000 a year for a certain "in demand" career is supposed to work? Can someone put it into layman's terms for me? I get that I need to talk to someone or other and fill out something or other...I wanted to look into a career in Hospitality Management or Pharmacy Technician and we have orders to move to St. Pete, Fl in November...Can you only use this in certain locations? How do I go about this process? Sorry if this has been asked before or if I'm just not looking into it hard enough...

Oh and...Does this include Massage Therapy? We are originally from the Tampa/St. Pete area and I have had my heart set on Aveda since I graduated high school, is there any way at all to attend this school with that $3,000?

Thank you and sorry again if this is brought up a lot.

call to find out about massage therapy

Trying to figure out why engineering isnt on the list. It's one of the highest demand fields out there......(business management is quickly becoming a flooded market)

These are the bases where it is authorized for the $3000 and it is limited them and them only.

# Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base, Calif.
# Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
# Fort Benning Army Installation, Ga.
# Fort Bragg Army Installation, N.C.
# Fort Carson Army Installation, Colo.
# Fort Lewis Army Installation, Wash.
# Hickham Air Force Base, Hawaii
# Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Fla.
# Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii
# McChord Air Force Base, Wash.
# Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine
# Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Fla.
# Naval Station Kitsap, Wash.
# Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
# Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
# Pope Air Force Base, N.C.
# San Diego Naval Station, Calif.
# Schofield Barracks Army Installation, Hawaii

If it isn't on there then it doesn't count. I did speak to someone about this and they are looking into it. Because it is something that should be offered at all OCONUS locations where many spouses can't find work and want to go to school.

You also have to be careful because the local government is also funding this and from my understanding Hawaii has already run out of money so it isn't being offered there right now. There is limits on how many people per year.
