Hi everyone,
My husband goes on cruise in the fall and will be getting different orders eventually and I am trying to find a career that will fit best into military life.
I am looking into Medical Transcription and was wondering if anybody has any good recommendations on what school to attend. I am looking to do it online.
Or if anyone has work at home jobs they could recommend that are legit that would be great as well.

I was going to go to school for this and my first two choices were Andrews and M-TEC. I worked as a transcriptionist doing easy clinic work (one specialty with drs who spoke English as their first language) but wanted to go to school for better prep so I could branch out into all kinds of medical transcription.

I spent a lot of time on message boards for medical transcriptionists during that time and the overall sentiment was that those two schools were very highly respected and turned out work-ready graduates.

One other option to look into is TRS Institute. They offer an internship with their parent company (Transcription Relief Services) once you graduate. I'm not sure what the requirements are to qualify for the internship or what, if anything, it pays.

Good luck.
