I am DC1 Bechtler at TRACEN Cape May and I am a boot camp instructor for the seamanship and firefighting branch. When you walk throught the buildings here at Cape May there are all sorts of displays of the Coast Guard and the DC building is very plain.

We are loooking for some visual aids and static displays to put up around our building. I priced out everything we wanted and it was well over $26000.

So if you are at a unit and have some DC related equipment, it doesnt have to work, please drop me a line and I may be willing to take it off you hands.

Just a thought, you might try hitting up NESU at the CG yard they always have surplus gear around. Maybe they can give you a 123' for your display

You should check DRMO facilities. Norfolk could get you all types of equipment. We got some things from them that was still in the factory packaging. I'm not talking about regular junk. I'm talking about things like Ram Fans and Box Fans. You can clean up if you know when there is a ship being decommissioned.

We are working on the DRMO and ELC/Yard...but thank you for the idea's. I am waiting for some return phone calls.
