TRAINING TIME OUT. A Training Time Out may be called by any training team member if a situation arises that requires more time to train than allotted in the timeline. Additionally, Training Time Out may be called if watch-standers are performing procedures incorrectly and corrective actions and/or on scene training will disrupt the time line. Training Time Out may be called if the training team loses control of the drill. The training team leader shall give Training Time In when the situation is corrected and/or proper training has been completed.

SAFETY TIME OUT. Safety is the primary concern when training. Any crewmember or training team member may call a Safety Time Out, if a watch-stander places him or herself or equipment in an unsafe condition or environment. In a Safety Time Out the drill will be stopped and corrective action will be taken to rectify the situation. The Commanding Officer has exclusive authority to restart the drill once he is satisfied that the conditions are safe to run the drill.
Actual Casualties: Actual casualties will be reported using the phrase "Actual Casualty." Individual training team leaders will evaluate the impact of the casualty and report it to the ITT Leader. Watch standers will take appropriate actions to control the casualty, and training team members will monitor watch standers actions and assist as required.

225 Training Environment (DCTT, NSTT, ECTT, etc.) Pipe:

(Name of Cutter) is now in a training environment. All casualties reported via the 1MC or any other means will not constitute actual emergencies unless the words actual casualty are used. All watchstanders should proceed with casualty control procedures as if the event they are involved in were real, the only exceptions to this policy are as follows. Watchstanders will not:

Charge fire hoses in electronic or machinery spaces or attempt to charge hoses with taped nozzle bails or plugs.

Discharge portable fire extinguishers.

Activate installed Damage Control systems with the exception of the firemain.

These actions will occur only on the specific direction of a training team member. All hands are reminded to exercise caution throughout drill exercises and not engage in or permit any unsafe actions. Safety timeout can be initiated by making a "T" with the hands at or above eye level. All hands are reminded to follow standard traffic patterns.

Hope this helps.
