Is there anywhere I can find a new updated study guide for the DCC SWE? A lot of the questions on the last SWE where not anything like what I have on the study guides I have been using. Thanks
Read the entire EPME Book, then read all your DC Course Material, then read the Reader's Digest Do It Yourself Manual, then skim through all the NSTM's that pertain to our rate, then make a study guide.
This will be the 6th time for me to take the SWE and last year the test was nothing like what I have studied. My wife even knew my rate because we studied so hard. If there is a helpful study guide it would be nice to know. All the post I have read is "read the manuals" Why aren't the memebers of our rate like the MK's and BM's. They have complied guides after guides to help one another. When you have been a independent duty DC since A school it is hard to have a study group by yourself.
Unlike MK's and BM's we do not have the significant number of E6's being promoted to E7. Maybe this is a jerk thing to say and I don't speak for the rest of the people trying to make DCC but I'm not willing to assist someone in getting promoted when there are only 10 DCC's being advanced. I have a study guide with over 200 questions and I did fairly well last SWE but am still getting bumped because of time in. I read all the manuals and all the references on the pracs and created my study guide myself. What else are you going do while you are on watch underway?
I agree, I used to work with this DC1 who gave his study guide to everyone, its retarded, this is a competition. If you need help with a DC related problem than ask for help...if you dont know how to study, then thats better for me...
if you want a compiled study guide, just ask the guys above the cut from the last servicewide, they are more than happy to share them since they aren't competing with anyone.
