I'm confused by this late revision. Should I look at it as a good thing that I moved two spots for the 08 SWE or a bad thing because now they may make less? One of the guys on the 07 revision has already made DCC, must have been from the 06 revision list? Did they take that into consideration? This system is terrible.
Chilly, tough luck bro, you only missed it by one but I'm sure you didn't need me to tell you. Hopefully this year.
Hey guys. The cut is only two. That's right...02. I know because I am #3. Yeah, I thought everyone was joking when they told me. Somehow I wasn't on CGMS when it came out. I have been obsessive about checking for the list and Fred's. I guess we now wait for generous revisions in x amount of months. I don't know how much more I can take! Good luck gentlemen. Shanedubya, which LEDET were you on for South? I was at North the same timeframe on 203. Just seeing if we were on some busts together. Oh, and Josh Bozarth is a friend from way back in 97/98 when we were at MLB STA Morro Bay. Small world. Later.
It may be time to say goodbye to the Coast Guard. From my perspective the future for our rate is not looking to good. I heard from some MSTs that we are loosing all the "M" field rates and we may be losing all the ISC jobs to f'ing civilians. This is all rumor but I could see it happening and can also see the DC's as MK's in the future.
those rumors were going around back in 1992, I wouldn't worry about it. the cuts will be revised, I think they are being conservitive due to money. Also keep in mind next year the LE rating is going to open up and will be populated by the other rates. So any DCs that leave the rate for the LE rate will open us up a little too.

With the MSSE list being cleared (45 people) you have to think that the next DCC cut should be a lot better than the last. I'm not sure the exact number but there were quite a few DCC's, and DCCS's on that list.
My old DC1 (who is now a DCC) is #1 on the MAT list. We had the DCWG here at Cape May and speaking to the force manager, there are a few DC's that are going to the me rating. But most of them are 2nds and 1st's. So too bad for us wanting to make DCC that were hoping it would open up alot of spots. But I did here there are about 6 or 7 MAT's retiring in the next year. Which should hopefully open things back up. Hoping for top 50% in May.
I was looking at the projected retirements and it doesn't look like alot this year. hopefully they will make more. I remember when I first came in the coast guard back in 91, they were lucky if they made 1 DCC a year, so in the big picture they are making more than when I came in.
I'm sure the cut will go deeper. You have a couple people making warrant(see above) and a retirement or 2 that haven't been factored in. We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully soon I really have not been studying
