It's happened. More than once. When I was stationed at Ft Bliss they had an incident along the Eastern Border where two jeep loads of Mexican Military crossed the Border and engaged Border Patrol agents that were arresting illegals. It actually made it on "The O'Rielly Factor".

Had a buddy who was an undercover narcotics officer in Texas. He told me a story about being in the midst of arresting a bunch of guys from across the border when a whole squad of army regulars in full battle rattle rolled up on a 5 ton truck escorted by some sort of light tank. He told me that after he reported the incident he was quickly escorted off by the border guys whom he was working with and told about how he was supposed to keep quiet about this. Sounded like there was a lot of politics involved and that this definitely wasn't the first time that this kind of incident had happened.

Yeah..!!! I remember that one very well. I was living in the Mexican side (Juarez City) at the time it was big news, seems like the Mexican drivers of the jeeps got confused and never noticed that they have crossed to the American side, They surrender to the Border Patrol and were in jail only for two hours until the Mexican Military attache in El Paso bail them out and returned them to Mexico, No criminal charges were filled.

This offends me being half mexican. My father was an illegal imigrant who worked his whole life and never hurt nor disrespected anyone nor did he use or sell drugs. Just because a person is of Hispanic background does not mean that they are involved in any type of drug related activity its comon for people to associate drug trafficking with Mexico but Mexico isnt even our biggest drug import. We are our own enemy when it comes to drugs because we are the ones with Meth labs ever 3 houses in the suburbs of our large cities and in our so called "Upper Class" neighborhoods. I've seen alot in my lifetime I grew up on the streets gang banger drug user and all!!! And from those experiences Ive learned the biggest drug users are the straight A students at Suburban schools with rich parents, its there way of getting back at there parents and they get the drugs from at least in my area African American men who buy cocain off of Columbians or Russians and get there weed from other African Americans if they're selling Meth they got it from the "white meth head up the street" Please dont assume because they were crossing our border that they were trying to sell drugs alot of immigrants cross because they have no chance of surviving in Mexico they're just to poor or unskilled to get a job that supports a family

Being as he was a narcotics officer, the guys coming across the border were guess what? Drug dealers. My buddy and his partner were undercover and about to finalize on a deal. Afterwhich they planned to arrest the (yes I'll say it again) Mexican drug dealers. Funny thing is though, as they were going through with the deal up rolls Mexican Army regulars. They were apparently providing security of some sort for the dealers. My buddy was afraid that the dealers or the soldiers planned to kill them and take the money, so he and his partner hauled butt out of there. I think he said that they left the money behind they were so scared.

So no Angel, not all Mexicans are drug dealers, just some. But all illegal immigrants are still criminals.

Ok, so its not the illegal imigrants which bring extra weight to the welfare system, refuse to pay taxes, send vast amounts of untaxed money out of this country, and most obviously commit fraud and identity theft on a grand scale, that we need to worry about. No sir, its those beedy eyed rich white people. Illegal means illegal.
They must be stopped at the border.
If illegal border crossers produce weapons then they should be delt with accordly.
Within a few weeks ago some U.S. National Guardsmen fled a border check point because armed illegals came at them.
I find it strange that we have a policy to withdraw rather that protect and fight if needed.
The mexican government is surely corrupt and involved and Pres. Bush is to friendly with mexico.
If we stopped all aid to mexico and closed the check points for a few months the mexico might do something to help stop this.

my dad is an Eastern European WWII war orphan, so I am vaguely familiar with people coming here as legal refugees.

I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca for two years, and knew plenty of American citizens who happened to either be naturalized or first gen. from Mexico.

99% -- I had no troubles with them. They only ones I ever had trouble with were the ones I never personally met: the ones who royally torqued off two of my DSG's one morning.

Our way BFE "West Gate" was left unmanned at most times because some years earlier an MP had been attacked out there and it was so far away from "main post" that back-up wasn't able to get there in time. One dark 1994 morning while half the post is doing PT -- a whole crew rolls over crammed in an SUV, jacks more than a dozen brand/fairly new SUV's from on post and just into town (SUV's had DOD-Huachuca stickers -- no stop at the gate), then rolls right back out the West Gate same as they came in.

By the time the blimp crew realized what they saw -- too late -- SUV's were all gone.

I don't have a problem with Mexicans. I have a problem with criminals -- particularly criminals who happen to target and royally pi$$ off MY DSG's!!!

Did anyone stop to think that maybe our government may have had something to do with it? I mean Bush was trying to throw out all the illegals and what better way to get support from Americans than to have the "Mexican Military" come over the border to defend and help their citizens get across. I don't believe Mexico is dumb enough to bring a military force on to American soil. It's like saying "please attack me because we just invaded you". On the other hand I heard a rumor of Mexico sending over troops to assist with Hurricane Katrina.
