Hi, I have just heard that if a person is on their first enlistment on a four year contract, that at the end of their first 2 year tour that you can request to change branches and another branch may purchase the contract, Lets say one wanted to transfer from the Navy into the Army. Does this have any truth to it, or is it completely false? Thank you.
I do know that the Army has the blue to green program. I have heard of people changing while under contract but it was only going to the army. I think it depends on the strength of branch you are in and your job strength. But the Army is the only branch I have heard of that has a program for what you are asking.
