I was hoping someone could help me out here... I'm an OS2 on IRR, I got out last Nov to finish my education, when I got out I didn't go active reserves because I don't want to be called up while in a program. So I have found out that some of my Air Force schoolmates are active reserves, however they can not be called up while enrolled in their program. It seemed as though the CG would have something like that, does anybody know of such a program. I have done research and asked the recruiter but I can find hard facts.

You can be called up, as can any member of any service if needed.

Yes I know that, however there are programs out there that allow a person to postpone activation due to circumstances.

If you are IRR then you shouldn't even be dealing with a Recruiter. You need to contact your local Force Optimization and Training Branch about this. I have no knowledge of any program that lets a SELRES get out of deployment/recall orders, again the FOT will have the best info for you.

I can't offer any Reserve applicant a program that get's them out of call up's under certain circumstances. CPO Kalbach

Chief is right, no such program exists in the Coast Guard Reserve.
