You should have your recruiter put you in touch with some of the local units. CPO Kalbach

i am still trying to decide on a few. port security is one that i have considered. i am currently a full time police officer. i actually work with someone who is a PS who drills there as well. I am also looking at BM or OS. i would love OS but i was told by my recruiter as of right now it is only an active rating. what do your reserve PS do on their weekends?

How many years do you have as a LEO?

You may qualify to be an IV.

Check with a recruiter. 1-800-NOW-USCG or 1-800-GET-USCG or gocoastguard.com.

Consider enlisting as another rating, get some investigative classes/courses under your belt, and then look into lateraling to IV after you get your three years experience.

Good luck!
