I was wondering if any REBI grads on this board could answer a few questions for me:

1. How thorough is the physical compared to MEPS?

2. How thorough is the dental exam? Do they do x-rays, etc, or basically just check to make sure your teeth are in somewhat decent shape?

3. At what point during the training do these things occur? The day you get there? The day after? The reason I ask is that I'm borderline with weight (I've lost a lot of muscle mass already by way of starving myself for MEPS) and I'd hate to make it half way through and discover that I was over the limit.

I'm trying to remember exactly what the schedule was, but I think it went something like this:

1. The physical is fairly thorough, although not nearly so much as MEPS. You get your shots and get some blood drawn. Your initial weight and measurements are taken the night you get there, as well as a drug test. The blood work, immunizations, and basic physical stuff gets done on Tuesday

2. The dental is very thorough. You will get a dental exam, complete with x-rays. If you need dental work done, it will be done while you are there. The dental is also done on Tuesday.

You will do your run, pushups, situps and swim on Wednesday.

I think that schedule is correct, but they might have changed it, and my memory could be bad.

Thanks Gwydion, I really appreciate the info. I'm scheduled to go on April 13 and its nice to have some idea of what I'm getting into.

Ask your recruiter for a REBI training schedule, and if they don't have it, have them email me and I will send them the most recent one.
