Can any BM's give me the run down on what a reserve BM generally does during his/her drill weekend? I'm considering joining and just checking out some rates to narrow the selection.

During the boating season we do regatta patrols, recreational boating safety, and on the water training. During the winter months there's a lot of general mandated training, but we still get out in our dry suits for some on the water training. Then there's the occasional voluntary deployment on natural disasters and flood ops. I find it all very rewarding. Hope this helps.

Another thing to look at is the unit you will be stationed at and what is required of the BM's there. CPO Kalbach
