You really need to talk to a CG recruiter, as they'll have the best available info. Ask if the recruiting office has a reserve recruiter assigned, or if they can put you in touch with one. Good luck.

quote: Just found out about the REBI program and was wondering about my chances of getting into it. I'm currently a police officer in NJ, been on only a year though and have bachelor degree in CJ. Been in contact with a USMCR recruiter but I am really drawn to PS. What kind of selection process is conducted to be eligible for the program? Also, I really want PS and live right on the border of NJ/NY, any chance of being a reserve unit in NY where a PS slot is available? Any advice/help would be appreciated...
Only your local recruiter can tell you if there is a need for PS in your area. With 1 year of LE under your belt you may have to go to the PS A school and bootcamp. REBI is looking for prior experience more than 2 years or prior service. Again, local recrutier will have the info for your specific case. CPO Kalbach
