Since I am retired I have not read the "current" instructions, but if you wear the uniform you are subject to the regulations....

We are subject to the same standards. Why wouldn't we be???????
The real question is; What will happen to all those that don't comply?
A thinning of the herd? No pun intended. Wink

I am at or about the standard i have to be at. not on probation or anything so just in case with the new standards i am a lil over i get the same probation period and med referral as the ad guys get. i am busting my butt to make it but as of right now i am at 26% instead of the new 24%. my buddy at the airsta just tolod me they had alot of people who didnt make it and the sta gave them one month to make or break before they proceed with the probation period. oh well time to go hit the gym. wish the best to everyone else who is in the same situation

I believe that some units are conducting weigh in's between the mandated weigh in's to keep folks on glide slope instead of encouraging unhealthy purging, crash dieting etc just before official weigh in. Weighing more regularly for "trouble candidates", so that they may embrace a healthier lifestyle with encouragement from shipmates, doc, the command, the chief, etc etc. Sports lunches instead of bag of burgers, china buffet's etc. I don't know if this is what the OP is referring to but I suspect that we aren't the only ones doing so. Good luck on your weigh in and try to exercise more than you eat. Simple but effective game plan. Not trying to be a smart axle, but if you are a coastie, you can do it.
