quote: Has anybody ever requested to drill their two weeks in a location other than their current unit? I used to be stationed active duty in Puerto Rico and worked well with my collegues. Now, I am reserve and do my 2 days a month in the states. I do like my unit, but was long ago, told that I could request do the drill elsewhere. Is this true? Are their certain circumstances that need to happen. Like a need or shortage in the other location? If so, would I make the request to my unit or submit to persu? Is their a form for this? I know this is a lot of questions. But any bit of info would be most appreciated?
You need to go through your chain of command and contact your local FOT(Force Optimization and Training) branch to see if it would be possible for you to do your 2 weeks somewhere else. CPO Kalbach

I suggest reading and knowing the Reserve Policy Manual.
