Looking for some answers.. any and all are welcomed.
1. Can he do all his drills for the year back to back? 2. can he accept a job offer in Pennsylvania and still honor his commitment to the CG reserves? 3. Can he change his duty unit to pennsylvania vs. Virginia? Pls provide more info than yes or no if you can. Thanks. EM1 |

1. Maybe, depending on his unit, but it is very unlikely.
2. Yes. 3. Yes. He should look at the RESERVE POLICY MANUAL, available online in the CG Directives System. He should also contact his chain of command and see about a transfer. |

The reserve policy manual does allow a reservist to complete their entire annual obligation at one time. It takes 30 consecutive days of active duty to do this and is at the discretion of the command. I know of a few who do this.
Fortunately, since most of PA and all of VA are in D5, transferring will be a little easier. The FOT shop at ISC Portsmouth would handle the transfer. |
