If you are military retired and had a military divorce and got screwed in the divorce, you need to get involved and help us active duty and retired vets to abolish the USFSPA law. Congress is not doing nothing for us because they were told not to get involved with this issue and is hoping it will go away or die down. Retainer pay is for the retiree and is not considered "marital property" More women need to get involved, retired and dependent wives whose ex spouse is going after her retirement is wrong also. This act is not gender bias. The law was backdated illegally back in 1982.

There is starting to be a little discussion about this subject these days.

The irony is why.

These days an increasing number of the service members that would be forced to divide or at least potentially divide there retirement pay and extend other benefits to there ex spouses are female and all they sudden we are hearing about how "unfair" this law is/was, when it was almost exclusivley males as service members and females getting the benefits for life well that was just fine!!
