I am an active duty LCDR who transitioned directly from enlisted to commissioned service via the Enlisted Commissioning Program. I had 11 1/2 years prior enlisted service at the time of my commissioning, and have accrued 14 years commissioned service since. What is my mandatory retirement age? I've seen guidance that it is rank-dependent. For example, must make O-5 by 24 years time in service or you have to retire. Since I am past this TIS, it seems that my TIS would only count commissioned service, and prior enlisted time for mandatory retirement doesn't count. True?
I would think there is a hard charging YN at your command that could give an answer based on current directives. And if not physically at your command, at the servicing PSD.
