I re-enlisted into 19D back in December. I recently recieved orders to Fort Hood. I was wondering what the morale is like there. I've also been told not to bother unpacking. Can a few guys from Hood clarify? Any other useful info would be great. Thanks.

I have been at Hood for 3 years. 15 of those months were in Iraq though. You can expect the same. Traffic is a terrible, But Austin is down the road and always a good time. Have fun in Iraq...

It depends where replacement sends you to you could go to one of 4 places I belive. 1ID, 4ID, 3ACR, 1CAV, 4ID. Most of these may be deployed and some just returned. Assume you are going to be patroling. And I know you wouldn't be caught dead at Stars we go to The Executive around here.

Stars and the Executive are strip clubs. Some of the nastiest besided Thouroughbreds in KY
