Fraternal greetings to all,

For some time now I have considered joining the AFR and I now know that this is something I want. I do have a few very particular questions to which I'd like exact answers to. Looking for information within the AFR website regarding these questions has proved difficult.

I spoke to my local AFR recruiter close to 2 months ago and she wasn't too helpful and other questions have popped up since then.

How can I join in as an officer in the AFR? What's the process?

I understand that by holding a College degree I can come skip enlisted, great, but what's the process? Do I enlist first and then wait to qualify for OCS? Do I go straight into OCS? Would I have to do basic training (no problems here, it's just a matter of how long this would be and how difficult this'd be to juggle with my civilian career)?

Recruiters, as far as I understand it, are being very picky as to who they recruit due to the hard economic times (folks needing income deciding to join) and due to the military's efforts in "trimming" down the force and base closures (officers leaving active duty and joining reserves). These two scenarios are not reflecting my particular case. I just want to serve this country more than I currently am.

Folks, any help is appreciated. If there are any career AF recruiters, please contact me. I'd love to get this ball rolling so that I can prepare my future (contemplating a career change within the next year) and would like to get all the gears going in unison.
