hello,
My name is Garrett. I was a sergeant in the Army. I got out after an injury and i still use some of the basic gear when im hunting, which brings me to my point. i was tired of tasting that nasty canteen flavor, so I made a Canteen Liner and I would like to offer you guys a chance to get some free samples and try them out. you can get them at canteenliner.com thanks, you guys pump me up!!!! |

Well apparently that site he linked no longer exists.
Whenever my canteens began to get a taste to them, I just rinsed them real good with bleach, followed by a through rinse with water, shake out the excess water and store them with the caps removed for ventilation. Problem solved, no foul taste and no liner to fool with. |

hydrogen peroxide. pour in a couple gulps full... shake the canteen and let it set a bit... wash it out thoroughly. Repeat as needed.

There's nothing wrong with using bleach. After all, it's used in swimming pools (look closely at the label & you'll see pool use listed). |

Exactly correctly. Maybe I should have specified "Chlorine Bleach". And of course, Chlorine is routinely added to water in municipal water facilities to kill bacteria in the water. Most city dwellers drink Chlorine regularly. |
