The Gunners mate rate today is technical one, more about Electronics than gun powder.
You have done well so far, if thats what you want to do.

....graduating as an E4 only comes:
-after successful completion of school (grades and performance) and
-completion of EPME's and passing the AQE for E4.

Just a word of caution as to keep you from cashing that check too soon!

Wink

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't there a minimum time in service requirement? I had to wait 11 weeks upon graduation from GM "A" before I was advanced to GM3.

Actually you are right. I forgot that I came in as an E-3, so yeah I had to wait to 6 months which is why I had to wait until about 11 weeks or so after graduating.

I'll tell you one thing, guaranteed A school is a mistake. Do your time as a non rate, learn the coast guard and look around a little bit

BLAH BLAH BLAH, i dont why Know why people have to be so literal on here. 346- thats a great contract. The only thing i would suggest is try to get a choice of duty stations. The only thing they can say is no. Its not what ya know its who ya know
