Since when do you fire the 870 with red shells and a yellow LTL stock sock? So much for train like you fight. BTW, It is the little things that do very much matter and can make a big difference. Every mishap starts with small links in the chain.

Framed, there tactical MSST people, the rules of engagement, the ordnance manual etc. don't apply to them.

OK, I have to ask.....what are those yellow sleeves on the stocks? PFD's for weapons that may fall overboard? Wink

I've never seen anything like those and I'm just curious.

Don, when using Rubber fin and rubber sting ball ammo the yellow stock sock ID's the gun as loaded with Less-than-lethal rounds. It is vinyl and uses Velcro strips for easy removal if normal duty ammo is used. That is unless things have changed that much in the last two years.

EDIT: I made a few up myself in black for left handed shooters. The choice of stocks they picked could not have been worse for them. The shell holder would mess up your face. Thank you desk jockeys. Next time let the field have a voice.

Hey, that's funny. I never heard Gunner Ski called a desk jockey. If you ever say that to his face, let me know in advance. I would like to see that.

As I recall, that was tested at Yorktown as well.

Gunner, no disrespect to you..... Didn't he push the LW499 and the Robar's as well? Zero for three there. That is harsh, one for three. However the shtogun stock should have been the solid type. The pistol grip is an added plus.

The Robar .50 is a good rifle, probably just not for the way they were going to employ it. The Barrett would have been the obvious choice. The Barrett is battle proven and reliable.

Can't we please bring back the 1860 Springfield rifled musket? There are some people I would give them that, no powder, no minnie balls, no caps and no bayonet.

Judging by the cover on the first PO it looks like a Milk Shake Stirring Team (MSST) and I see NEW there so I will take a wild guess and say New York.
